Howdy...
I just finished up a Vintage Back to School journal page swap that turned out amazing! Thank you so much to all the artists who participated! Everyone definitely brought their A+ game and exceeded my expectations and brought my vision to life! Thank you!
Here's everyones pages sorted and ready to bind into the covers...
Of course, the pages first had to be inspected by Mr. Tubby...
Cover preparation assembly line...
Front covers...
Another inspection by Lt. Bastian...
And then the journal pages were married with the covers...here's a finished journal...
Stacks of the completed journals...always one of my favorite views...
I was very lucky enough to meet up with two of the artists who were in the swap to give them their journals in person. Sheila and Jan live in the Portland area so we got together for a little dinner and journal meet up. I first met Sheila at an Anahata Katkin class at Papaya headquarters in Ashland, Oregon (the year before she did Art in Ashland) several years ago and then another time at an Art and Soul event. We maintained our friendship via online (gotta love the interwebs!). This my first time meeting Jan but you'd never know it! I felt like we all connected and I had a wonderfully delightful time! Here are the three of us towards the end of our three hour dinner (where time absolutely flew by!)
Okay, so back to the journals...below is a list of the artists who particpated in the swap. If they have a blog, their name is underscored. Several have posted pics of the journal and everyone's individual pages so please be sure to visit them and say howdy! Sorry I'm being lazy but this way you'll get to go visit them and get to know them! :-)

Handmade U is just around the corner (SO EXCITED!) and at this point in time, pretty much my every waking moment is consumed with prepping and dreaming about this fabulous event! I can't wait...and if you've been on the fence, there are just a few spots left!
I'm sure the ladies are going to love their journals...many of whom I know! Of course the dinner turned into 3 when you are talking of journals & yummy art! Can't wait to see you in just a few short days & give you your swap!! And hug you! Thanks for the water tip!

Hi! Does the rate of updating your site depend on some thing or you compose blog articles when you have a specific mood or write blog entries if you have enough time on it? Waiting forward to hear from you.
