It's been quite awhile since I've done any blogging...I hope this things still works!
:-)
The last few months have been very busy and I've had so many adventures! And If I let myself, there is the opportunity for me to feel guilty about being so "behind" on my blogging but, thankfully, I don't go there. I've got enough deadlines with work, volunteer commitments and other things that I decided a long time ago to be kind to myself and not add guilt to the whole blogging thing. After all, this is supposed to be fun, right?
My most recent adventure was attending Teesha and Tracy Moore's fabulous Journalfest event in Port Townsend. It was absolutely marvelous! I hardly took any pictures on this trip and I'm not quite sure why. Maybe I was just too busy taking it all in. It was my first time, but it sure won't be my last! My classes were with some of the most amazing artists (and my friends!) ... Orly Avineri, Liesel Lund and Brian Kasstle. I'll take some pics of the work I did in each of their classes and share with you in another post.
My friend Pam Keravuori also signed up for the event so we traveled and hung out together, and we had a blast! Here are a few pictures...
Pam in Monticello Antique Mall ... she was on a mission to find a suitcase to tote her journaling supplies...here is a candidate she's considering.
The view from the common room in the dorm. This was the first morning and no other morning was near as gorgeous!
Journaling at The UnderTown with a little Mexican Hot Chocolate. I since bagged this version of my Journalfest souvenir journal since Teesha included in our welcome packet a passport size book to use. Check out Teesha's version of the passport journal here inspired by Orly!.
View of the grounds at the fort. The tree colors were gorgeous!
Pictures from Brian's class...
There were a lot more people in Brian's class but this is the version that has me in it (thanks Chad!) :-)
I'll be back soon to share pictures of my Journalfest layouts as well as pictures of my little Journalfest souvenir journal. Eeek! It's so cute!
I still want to do a post about Rachel's first Handmade U event but I will save for another day since I'm already way overdue on that one! Rachel posted about the event here and here so I hope you'll go visit her in the mean time.
I will leave you with a few pictures from an apple pressing party Glen and I went to the weekend before Journalfest. What a FUN Fall experience that was!!!
And the juice was absolutely as good as I could have ever imagined!
Until next time!
Great to see you blogging again, maybe you will inspire me! It was great to see you and JOurnalFest, and to see what you and Pam worked on in your classes! Can't wait to see your passport journal!

It's always a treat to know what you're up to, Michelle!
I will have to pick up some apples this week. If I'm good, I'll make applesauce... if I'm *bad* I'll make caramel apples. ;)
Thank you for the inspiration! I'm looking forward to hearing more about your adventures.
xo.
