Hello Sweet Things!
Wishing you a very happy Valentine's Day. Mr. G and I usually don't do much on this day. We decided long ago to just save all that mushy stuff for our anniversary. We used to go out to dinner but it was always so crowded and so stressful so we just don't do it. So imagine my surprise when this morning the FedEx truck stopped at our house and delivered a box with two dozen roses and some Rocky Mountain chocolates!
And the enclosure from Mr. Romantic...
So so so perfect! I love it! Even after 25 plus years of marriage, this sweet feller knows how to surprise me!
Turns out the flower delivery made just about everybody happy in our house...both cats have been taking turns just hanging out in the box the flowers and candy arrived in...
Funny bunny!
In honor of this very sweet day, I thought I'd take a moment to show you some goodies that my very sweet friend, Suz Reaney sent me a few weeks ago! I met Suz through the Silver Bella Yahoo group before that event. We hit it off immediately. Then about three weeks before Silver Bella, Suz and her fabulous husband, Jud, came to Portland for a business event. Glen and I had the very good fortune of being able to meet up with them for dinner. It was so wonderful and you wouldn't think it was the first time we'd met. We all got along great and a fast friendship was solidified! The same thing happended when Glen and I met up with my wonderful friend Ilene and met her husband, Dave, for the first time. It was just so comfortable.
So without further ado, just look at these beautiful treasures Suz sent me...
Look at these beautiful earrings! Suz and her daughter, Kat, are very talented jewelry artists and have an Etsy shop. Be sure to pop over for a little looksee!
Holy Moly Suz knows I LOVE old stuff and I love quantity so I am SO in love with these treasures!
It's all just so marvelous! Thank you again, dear Sue, my very treasured friend!
Happy Valentine's Day to you all and I hope it's a very sweet day!
You are so welcome, Michelle! Those white things are old mother of pearl cuff links and they apparently belonged to the father of one of Jud's teachers (it was a great rummage sale!)
I was surprised to see my little trinkets here. It's better than being in the newspaper!
We did hit it off, didn't we? Even our husbands! I remember telling Jud that I was just SURE he would really enjoy both of you. Glen is one of the funniest, most clever men I have met. I love his Valentine note. I treasure such wonderful, easy friendships.
Hugs to you both...and the lovely Miranda!
