Just getting back into the swing of things after a very enjoyable long three-day weekend. I was quite productive around the house, did a few fun things and the weather was just picture-perfect gorgeous!
I've been spending most of my free time in my craft room lately. There are several super fun projects going on for me right now...two of them are a Marie Antoinette round robin which is being hosted by Kecia and the another is a Wreck This Journal round robin hosted by Lore. Saturday morning I woke up to the most spectacular day! I met up with Andrea for marvelous iced coffee at Ava Roastaria and then a trip to a fabulous little scrapbooking shop called Peddler's Pack. Andrea brought some metal engravings she made to show me and so I just had to go buy a few supplies so I could try my hand at it. Here is my first attempt...
Inspired by coffee!
In addition to some other household errands, a Sweet Feast party at a friends...
and a firepit party at the neighbors...
I finally got outside and did some work in the garden.
Our garden has been so neglected! We maintain our little raised vegetable beds but I haven't done much in the way of maintaining the gardens. When we bought our house about 11 years ago, I lived and breathed for working in the garden. Fortunately, most of the stuff I planted way back when were perennials. A few plants have come and gone and there's been a few replantings here and there but these days, the garden just mostly it's just maintenance.
So with that, I have a few flower pics from the garden to share with you...our front garden...
Chive bloom...I LOVE how when these start to dry, they smell like Sour Cream and Onion potato chips... EXACTLY!
Sigh. Happy happy. I've been spending more and more time outside and drinking lots of iced coffees...trying to grab Summer by it's tail and wrangle it down! :-)
The blooms in your garden are stunning!!!
