So I'm pretty jazzed...I finished up the last two LOs for a Round Robin that I've been participating in. This one was hosted by the kind and generous soul that is Elise. I haven't received my book back yet but I'm excited for Melissa! I just finished up her book and I'm meeting her for lunch tomorrow so she's going to get hers! It's always SUCH a joyous feeling when a book you started and sent off, sometimes around the world, comes home months later, all chunked up!
Before I got to Melissa's, I had Elise's to finish up. Her theme was "Techniques" and then we were to incorporate our own theme into that. My theme was "Feathered Nest."
On this page I used acrylic paint and then created a stamp from a piece of textured wallpaper...
This page was more acrylic paint but I used vaseline as a resist. I also did some gloriously messy writing using a calligraphy pen and black ink.
My "go to" technique, collage and sewing...
More sewing, paint, and gesso.
Then lastly, here are the pages I did for Melissa's book. Her theme was "Feelings of Fall." I remember when we started this book last year during the Fall. How lovely that she's going to get her book back a full year later, during the Fall. :-)
I'm kind of excited that this one is done now. I'm very S-L-O-W-L-Y trying to wind down and stop joining in collaborative projects and swaps. So far it's going pretty good. I've just got one more charm swap and fatbook that I'm hosting through Silver Bella. Yeee-haw!!!
Oh and in other news...guess who's just registered for THIS!!! Oh yeah! I'm over the moon excited. Kari and Natalie are going too. It will be magical, I'm sure!
Yay for Obama! And you might feel busy, but your art seems to be at a really high, even higher level than ever! Just love your fabric fat book covers and page. Reading about your shopping with Miranda makes me wish for Alberta street again, starting with Starbucks!
