Hi ho! So first off, for those of you participating in the Mermaid and Seaside Inspired Swap, today was the day to get your packages mailed off! I totally intended on sending out word yesterday but I just got too busy putting the final touches on the goody box for my partner last nigh! Eeeek! But I got it together and happily, the package is on it's way! There are a handful of gals that needed a bit of extra time and that's cool...thanks for letting me know!!!
I have to tell you, hosting this swap has been SUCH an amazing experience for me! What an incredible group of talented and kind people I've met! The things folks have been gathering to swap and the art that they are creating...I'm just in awe. I am SO over the moon with happiness to be a part of this! Be sure to visit the swap's Flickr site to check out all the gorgeousness!
Okay...so now on to some stuff...some sweet stuff... that I want to share with you! First of all, I participated in Artsymama's For the LOVE of Valentine's Supplies Swap and I want to show you the INCREDIBLE treasures I received from my dear swap partner, Jenelle. She is SUCH a sweetheart and such a talented girl!!! Check out her Etsy shop!!!
Here is what Jenelle sent me for the swap...
Such sweet packaging!!!
Here are the two boxes opened up...the Chinese food container had an adorable candy cup and a felt "M." The candy box...well...first, here is a close up of that...
SO clever!
And I know you want a close up of all the sweet supplies inside so here you go! :-) Just loverly!!!
Thank you so much Jenelle. You're awesome!!!
So how about another sweetheart? Er....make that another 48 sweethearts! I received the charms from a Valentine's Day Charm Swap I participated in. You may recall, these are the charms I made for this swap. All of us "Charmsters" sent in our charms to the fabulous Kecia and she sorted them and sent us each a package full of a charming charms for each participant! Just incredible!
This group started from the 2007 Portland Art and Soul so I'm not surprised that the charms are AMAZING!!! And the packaging of the charms is beautiful too!
Here's the bracelet, picked up at Goodwill, of course, that will soon be the new home of these beauties!
I can't wait to put this one together and add it to my growing collection of charm bracelets, as I shared in this post.
Okay..then lastly, another sweetheart in my life? My Girgie!!! Miranda is home from her (mis)adventures in Hawaii! Yay!!! I took some time off of work this week and got to spend lots of time with my fam. Glen, Miranda, and I spent one day together playing which included going to see Walk Hard. Then another day it was just Miranda and I and we did all our favorite things...we went for coffee, hit a bunch of our favorite second hand shops, went for lunch at Bella Foccacia (where they have THE best cheese pizza, right Lilli?) and then went to New Seasons for groceries. It rained all day so it was the perfect welcome home for Miranda. :-)
Miranda brought us a few gifties from Hawaii including this...
A GORGEOUS bottle of Ocean vodka. So far I know it goes great with grapefruit juice but a bit more research will be required to see how good of a martini it makes! :-)
Here are a couple pix of the GirGir and the "parentals," as she calls us.
I'm SO SO SO SO happy to have my little sweety back on the mainland, in the same time zone, and within hugging distance!
My lovely little tanned island girl. Welcome Home Girlie! XO
Wow, you make the swap-hosting experience sound so tempting. Someday I may just have to try it :)
What a lovely bundles of Valentine goodness! Jenelle did a great job.
I'll have to participate in a charm swap sometime. Those charms look absolutely darling. You'll have to give us a close-up of your bracelet when you've finished blinging it.
Your own little mermaid has returned home, fresh from Hawaii! Hi Miranda!
