Okay, so this may be a quick post but I just feel like sharing something.
I'm having a great day. Glen's off doin' his thing and I'm home doing home stuff. I got up early before the heat turned up and went to do my bit in our neighborhood community garden. Then I did some marketing and then came home to hit the housework. (Exciting life I lead, huh!)
So I had some music on and since I'm doing housework, the music is loud. Real loud. The kind of real loud that my sister and I used to play when my Dad would go to the market. We'd get in trouble because our neighbor would rat us out! :-)
I was listening to Grizzly Bear. When that ended, the next CD that was in the player started playing. It was the Wilco CD that Miranda gave Glen for Father's Day.
Okay so I have to confess, up until today, I wasn't a Wilco fan. I wasn't sure what all the hubbub was, bub. I just couldn't love them and I don't listen to music that I don't love.
However, after listening to them very loud today, I love them! Is there some kind of Wilco magic that happens when you play them loud? Am I under some kind of Wilco spell? Who cares, I setting track 11 to repeat!
Happy Day to you!
rock on sister!

Only back in the day it was Emerson Lake & Palmer or the Doobie Bros or Cowsills. No, wait a minute that would be going WAY back.
And oh yes, Roger Wilco. I love him.

are you going to the Edgefield show? We got tickets the day it came out; we saw them at the Fillmore in Denver a couple years ago and they ROCKED perhaps even more live than they do on record... hooray for Wilco!
