Sigh. Another wonderful Mother's Day. Thank you to all my dear family and friends for the well wishes!
We actually had quite the busy weekend overall. Didn't get a lick of art time in but we got the garden planted and I spent lots of time with friends and family and even managed to get in some study time for a math test I took tonight (we'll see if that paid off!) I'll show you some pictures of the garden later. For now I would like to share a few snappies from my Momma's Day. It was a good one.
It started with the traditional phone call to my beautiful Mom singing her a very eloquent, heartfelt rendition of M-O-T-H-E-R. Glen and I have been doing this for about 23 or 24 years. We even had a pitch pipe to get us in tune this year. So Mommy...how was it??? :-)
After serenading my Mom, Glen and I went to Miranda's shop, had coffee and sandwiches while we waited for her shift to end and then the three of us headed over to NE Alberta and hit a few shops.
Bolt, Close Knit and Office. All fabulous places to get inspired. I mean, how can you NOT get inspired on a street with this....
When I have a lot more time and a lot more money, I'll be going back to Bolt. They had racks and racks of Amy Butler fabric. Jaw droppingly beautiful stuff.
After this little walk, we went to Willamette National Cemetery to visit my Daddy and Glen's Momma. Daddy's marker is gettin' a little furry. I somehow think Daddy would have loved it like this though! LOL!
The cemetery was so beautiful. The sun was just starting to come out and there was SO much color everywhere you looked!
While we were at the cemetery, we saw our friends Wayne and Becky who just happened to be there visiting Wayne's Dad who marker just happened to be about 30 feet from Glen's Mom. THAT was crazy!!!
We decided to finish out our day/weekend together (we had JUST had dinner with Wayne and Becky the night before!) and we all headed out to Edgefield for a late lunch. I also was looking forward to walking through the gardens there. I especially like Edgefield on Mother's Day. Everything is in gorgeous bloom and it was also the spot we took Claire to several times. Just being there is very soothing and comforting for me. Oh and let's not forget the gift shop they have there. It's quite fabulous! Lots of AWESOME treats! :-) Here are the goodies I bought...
So all in all, it was a great Mother's Day filled with family, friends, good eats, a little shopping, some singing, laughter, and tears. But, of course, what made it great was getting to spend the day with my favorite girgie. Yep, she's a keeper.
Sounds like a full weekend! BTW, you have 4 Mother's Day posts :)

What a wonderful day it was for you sweetie. I just love Daddy's "furry" marker and flowers and yes, I'm sure he would approve although when no one was looking he'd likely place some creekbed rocks and sprinkle some wildflower seeds ;-)
