I got week 13's prompt done from Emily's Playing Card Mini-Journal project she's hosting. I'm still behind but now I'm not weeks and weeks behind...just a couple of weeks! :-)
Week 13's prompt was "What on Your Mind." This one was pretty easy. My dear sweet precious bundle of girgie goodness (she's 20 LOL!) just moved out. Love that kid. It's been quite a rough road gettin' that li'l one raised. Except for getting pregnant, we pretty much went through it all. I always say we sure got our money's worth with this one!
So here's my card...
So I called my Mom yesterday and guess what? She wished me Happy National Scrapbooking Day!!! How cool is that?! Thanks Mom...that was SO sweet and thoughtful! :-)
Yesterday I took a class over at Scrapbook Attack with Karen Russell. What a dear dear woman. Of course, she's crazy-talented, but so nice and so generous. The class was "Snapshots of a Good Life." I loved the project (I'll show pics when I get it finished up!) but prior to starting the project, Karen talked about how the "snapshots" of our lives are where the real memories are...not the calculated photography studio quality or technically perfect pictures. When you think of it, that's seems really obvious but the way Karen presented it made it refreshing and so heartwarming.
Claudine was in my class and that made it extra extra fun! She brought me the prize I won during her Blogaversary giveaway! How cool is this!!!!!!????
These are some serious goodies! Thanks again SO much Claudine....and speaking of Claudine...be sure to go over and check out her blog. She posted a LO that is getting some attention from the one, the only, MARTHA STEWART! Yep...Claudine submitted a LO for their scrapbooking contest and it was on TV during the teasers for an episode coming up! Congratulations Claudine!!
So when Claudine wins...YOU can say you know a woman who knows the woman that won the Martha Steward scrapbooking contest!!!
Today I'm going shopping with Claudine and Andrea. It's gonna be SO fun! We're going to a few of my favorite shops on the Eastside...Poppy and Ink, collage and SCRAP. So be sure to stay tuned...I'll be havin' lots to yak at you about in the next few days!!!
First of all love the card, It's okay to worry about Miranda, Mom's are the best when it comes to worrying about us daughters and we love you for that! Congrats on winning those yummy scrapbook products!

Great card! I love the way you did it with the flower stapled to the front. I can't imagine the day my daughter will move out. She's only 11 years old but I know that day will come.
