I love Haiku. Love it's simplicity. Love that it can capture existentialism in it's purest and traditional form, invoking an aspect of nature or the seasons. And then on the other hand, it can lyrically capture the most obsurd, obscene, and hilarious thoughts in three unrhyming lines of five, seven, and five syllables. Aaaah.....art!
Here is my Haiku for today...
Precious sleep was lost
Awakened by a strange cough
Did I eat a bug?
Thank you. And yes, this is true. I write for you from real life experience. I'm feeling very vulnerable right now.
I love haiku also!! I'm going to have to post a LO w/some of the Haiku I have collected. I love placing it on a LO whenever we go to this fave Japanese garden. TFS.

More Haiku please. I am poetically challanged and appreciate help in this area. Oh, IF you did accidentally eat a bug, it does not count as consuming meat, surely.

Yes, I know, the word is correctly spelled challenged. (The ghost of Medical Transcription Past still haunts me, but I am getting better. Sometimes I do not feel guilty for a wrong word or incorrect spelling.) And my OCD is getting better.
