YO! Casey is in the hiz-zouse!!! Okay...Miranda rolled her eyes too when I said that! :-) So Casey and Amanda arrived in Portland, Oregon today. They left yesterday morning around 8:00 am and about 6:00 pm today, they pulled up to what will be their home for the next month or so. So excited! We had a very low key evening...sat around and chit chatted, had dinner, went for a very brief walk (was just too darn cold!), Glen and Casey played guitars, made some tea and then called it a night. We tried to introduce their cat, Bellatrix, to Atticus but that didn't go over very well (Glen will attest to that!) Here a few pictures. I didn't really get a good one but wanted them to have a picture of their very first day in Oregon. The plan is tomorrow we will drive into downtown and just make an easy day of it. Drive around, stop and have lunch somewhere. Just hang out.
So Casey and Amanda will take residence in the spider hole....
Very cute kids. They are so nice too and so nice to each other. Glen, Miranda, and I are so excited to show them around and help them as much as possilbe. We realized that it's our turn. Glen's mom took us in we quit our jobs 12 years ago and bungee jumped from Northridge, California to Portland, Oregon. So very happy to have a chance to repay the kindness to family as they try on Portland for size. I hope more of my family gives us a chance to repay that kindness! Let the migration...BEGIN! (spoken in my best Cartoon King voice - from Pee Wee's Playhouse).
Hi Michelle...
They are looking so CUTE!! I know you will take good care of them...

Love those pictures. Hope you have a great time getting those sweet kids acquainted with Beaverton/Portland and hope they are not overwhelmed, coming from this small town of Paso.
Hey, I don't remember the "Spider Hole" looking that inviting and lovely when I visited a couple of years or so ago. Good thing, elst I still might be there. Nay, I guess not. You're safe until you put in an escalator.
OXOXOXOXOX to All

Your nephew and his GF looks GOOD together! I am happy that you are happy! You and Glen sounds like a very generous and sweet couples anyways....so they are lucky to have you too.

Ahhhh! Thank you Shell, now I have documented proof that my Casey and his Amanda have successfully landed in the spider hole! (Thanks to God, to Casey's
reliable transportation, his incessant need to drive and no doubt a case or two of Red Bulls!) Now I can rest knowing he is in the presence of an Auntie who is so very much loving him.....and by repaying Claire's kindness to you, to him; you have, in turn, paid me, his Mom and your sister, a great kindness as well. Thank you!
Love to you all....

Wow, I'm also appreciative of how you are able to provide Simone and Mom with such concrete, visual peace of mind via your blog as to Casey and Amanda's safe arrival. The two of them look so relaxed and glowing and normal-posing. No doubt a by product of the warmth, hospitality and loving generosity of the Geller spirit and household. Anyone else want to try San Francisco for awhile now? I have a cozy and inviting former spider hole myself ;D
