Okay so my big news...I got my grade from my math class....I got an A! Wowweeyyy Zowwwwey! :-) That just makes me SO happy. My very first college class and I get an A. That is so motivating for me!! Miranda just completed a Psychology class and she also got an A. (Congratulations Miranda!!!) Something good is happening in the world!!!!
So having gone on and on about that, I wanted to share that this week is my 'in between' classes week. Next Monday I start Art 103 which is an introduction to Graphic Design...hello...I'm excited about that one...big time! I mean, that's what we're here for folks!
In addition to doing the {21 Day} Challenge to jump start my Couch to 5K program, I am also doing a few other things this week...get our taxes this week, get caught up on bill paying, go see Chronicles of Narnia and Syriana at the cheap theatre, submit my college tuition reimbursement, contact Willamette National Cemetary, finish a journal a friend ordered, read for fun, get caught up with an insurance industry course I'm taking at work (can I add anymore to my plate?), and oh yeah, I'm trying to drink more water, take my vitamins everyday and eat 2 tbsps of flax seed everyday (flax is a MIRACLE food...for me anyways...takes care of business, if you catch my drift).
With all of this the other huge thing I started this week, which I am so happy I am finally doing is working through The Artist's Way. I've had this book for awhile and am just now getting to it. I read through the first few chapters yesterday so I could officially start Week One today. I gotta tell, I think I'm gonna get something out of this. One of the habits that Julia Cameron advocates is getting up early and writing Morning Pages. Today was the first day doing this. I started out all "la la la so happy to be doing this" and easily filled page one. Page one is always easy for me...my ideas and dreams and goals always come out in page one blocks. Moving on to page two though was awkward for me plus my hand started cramping...so I wrote about my hand cramping for awhile but then on page three, a different, insightful person began sharing her thoughts with me. She was very kind to sit there with me. She strung together some words that sounded so lovely together like "the color of new life jumping from trees'" and "puddles of grass in the road." I remember thinking "ooooh, I want to remember that...oh wait...this is me!" This is what I found inside of me on day one. There's more? I mean...there's more!
Happy day to you and you....
that 21 day challenge sounds cool...I'll have to pop over to Rhonna's blog and check it out.
