Emily posted Question #3 in her 52Q Mini Art Journal challenge. This week's question is "Do I believe in Fairies?"

When I first thought of this question, I thought "Pfffft! Not at all!"

But then I started to think back to when Miranda was a little girl and how we'd make little villages in the garden with the intention of some mythical creatures moving in and taking up residence. And then I started thinking of how I used to create little pockets in trees with offerings of pinecones and shiny rocks in return for a sighting.

What a sweet journey that was to recall these sweet lovely childhood memories. So I guess what I'm sayin' here is that yes, I DO believe in Fairies! :-)

And then the back. I experimented with Elmer's Glue to make a faux wood bark effect. That was fun!

52Q mini-art journal

Since I've been in an art journaling phase, I decided to participate in Emily Falconbridge's 52Q mini art journal project.

Each week Emily is going to post a question and then the participants are to create a mini page with their response to the question. A nice thought-provoking exercise. Emily is using tags as her pages but since I have lots of library cards, I'm using those as my pages.

Week One's question is "What do I wish for the new year to bring." My page...

 

 

Week Two's Question is "Am I afraid of change?" My response...

 

Since I've been pretty good about working in my art journal whenever I get a chance to get in my craft room, I'm feeling pretty confident that I'll be able to keep up with this project. We shall see!!!
