Whew...I am feeling like I've finally recovered from Christmas. I'm sure it felt like it took longer because we bopped up to Seattle for New Year's Eve to see X with some pals at the Moore Theater.
We had such a great time but that is normally the weekend when Christmas comes down and we get the house back in order. Since we were gone, the undecorating process seems to have taken us three times as long. But we did it. The tubs of Christmas cheer are still in the garage where my car should be but at least it's all out of the house.
It was very chilly and frosty in Seatlle and Issaquah, where we spent a night. We went out for a walk Sunday morning and I tried to take some pics but my camera was doing some weirdness. Here's pretty much the only pic that came out...
In other news, something cool Glen and I got to do a few weeks ago was go down to Salem to watch the Governor of Oregon being sworn in for an unprecidented third term! A friend of ours got us tickets on the floor. Very cool to be able to witness history being made.
So on to some artsy stuff...the shop is up and running and I am a having so much fun with that! I LOVE putting together little collections almost as much as I love the hunting and gathering process. Thank you so much for stopping by and finding some treasures for your creative comfort. BTW, I just added a bunch of those gold bouillion sprigs that sold really well at Silver Bella last year. :-)
I'm getting geared up and starting to pack for my super fun weekend coming up...I'm going to Play in Port Townsend! All by myself. I'm actually looking forward to that part of it. Three days of just creating and in the evening, I'll have a little dorm room all by myself. I'm planning on taking lots of music and DISCONNECT from the world for a few days.
The pages are scraps of paper, covers from tablets and boxes, cards and whatever miscellaneous flatness that I had handy. I wanted to have this be totally remnants. I get so inspired by how distressed and edgy the mismatchy pages look all together.
I'm taking gesso, acrylic paint, tape, stickers and markers and plan on totally experimenting and making a mess in this thing!
