So I decided before life just takes off and it's Thanksgiving before we know it, I would share with you some words and pictures from this year's Silver Bella adventure.
This year was my fourth year and it was another magical and rewarding time for me. I think so much of why I love Silver Bella is simply because of the people that attend. There are such lovely, kind, thoughtful and sweet people that go to this event and I cherish being able to spend time with them. It's magic and fills my little heart with joy.
The journey to Omaha started with my sweet friend Jill coming over to spend the night on Tuesday. This was Jill's first year at Silver Bella so she and I were an unofficial "big sister/little sister" team. :-) Even with all the preparation I did the weeks and months leading up Silver Bella, there was still so so much to do right up until the last possible minute.
On Wednesday (Nov 10) we started making our way...here's Jill and I in the Denver Airport...
A little lunch on our three-hour layover...
After arriving in Omaha, we checked in to the hotel (where we got upgraded to an Executive Suite...hello!)and then headed straight over to Second Chance, a fabulous and favorite shop in the Old Town area of Omaha.
The dinner table...

Thursday was an easy day...I had lunch with Julie and Jennifer at Twisted Fork. I d-r-e-a-m of Twisted Fork's Mushroom Soft Tacos all year long! It's their Blackened Salmon Soft Tacos but for vegetarians (or if you hate salmon), they'll substitute an assortment of mushrooms for the fish. SO friggin' good!
Great picture, eh? My camera has a "food" setting! :-)
While we were at lunch, sweet Julie taught me how to crochet those adorable loopy necklaces. She even brought all the supplies!
Julie also brought me a envelope full of vintagey office supplies including a full box of Dennison labels. She also gifted me with a box of her signature homemade candy. Love it! Thank you so much, Julie!!!
A few other pics...
Jennifer, Julie and I popped in next door to the Nebraska Clothing Company and met up with Heather. We also met Teresa and Sheryl while in the shop. Super fun shop and super fun girls! I was tempted to buy this blouse...but didn't... :-)
Thursday night was the event's Welcome Night which included dinner, a group project and swaps!
When I went to work on the group project, I couldn't get my "trinket" box open. Happily, the every lovely Hope was close by and offered to help. Hope not only got the box open, she arranged all my littles inside! It was such a work of art that I just had to take a picturet! Thank you Hope! :-)
My group project, still a work in progress...
I took it easy on the swaps this year. I hosted a Souvenir Journal swap (totally inspired by a combo of Mary Ann Moss' Remains of the Day online class, my Ready-Set-Go California journal and Portland Souvenir journals). In addition to the souvenir journal swap, I also joined Cheryl's Vintage Bling Charm Bracelet class.
A sea of books, ready to package up (truth be told...I did have them packaged but then realized I wanted a picture of them all spread out so I unpackaged and then packaged again).
More pics from the evening...Heather and Jill...
Okay...oh so much more to show you so I'll be back soon. Still to show you is my bracelet from Cheryl's Vintage Bling Charm Bracelet swap, my class projects, pics from Vendor Night, my Souvenir Journal and a BIG ANNOUNCEMENT about the Hold Dear online shop!!!! Stay tuned!
