Oh man...what a gorgeous weekend! So nice to have excuses to be out in it. Miranda has been moving out over these last few days and so there's lots to do! I'm so happy for her...great little house with two FABULOUS roommates that I just met and adore already. Also, her new house is in a part of town that I love going to because of all the great shops and yummy food spots! Good job, girlie!!!
In other news, I finished (mostly) a little book I made as a souvenir of Artfest 2009. It's not so much a souvenir of my experiences, but an excuse to make something incorporating some of the supplies and trades I received while I was there!
The book is made from a small children's board book. There was then the heavy handed application of gesso, pieces of the Artfest program, assorted papers, glues, and odd bits...the cover.
First page...so far this is the only page where I've written something. My goal is to write throughout the book some of the details about the classes, people, and all the fun...
I received several gorgeous Artist Trading Cards and added them to this little book by glueing two cards together back to back with paper tabs sandwiched in between them. Then the tabs were glued in to serve as hinges. That seemed to have worked pretty good!
This is my favorite page...I can't wait to see what I write here!! :-)
Take care and have a happy day!
